Scottsdale auto finance school goes international

A Scottsdale school that specializes in finance management for the auto industry is about to go international.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has given the Automotive Dealership Institute approval to grant student visas to qualified international applicants.
"It has become very difficult since 9/11 to get permission to approve student visas and we feel honored that our school has been authorized," said Alan Algan, executive director and chief executive.
Automotive Dealership Institute graduates about 150 students per year from its finance management program, and has been business in Scottsdale since December 2004, said Algan. "Most of our students come from various industries and upon graduation we place them in franchised automobile dealerships as finance and insurance managers."
Algan said he expects considerable interest given the growing demand throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific region for instruction about dealership operations and automotive finance.
ADI Dean of Education Arzu Algan recently conducted a two-day workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for 45 high-ranking bank executives from various countries. A group of ADI officials also traveled to London to discuss ways to better meet the needs of industry members in the United Kingdom.
